Professional Development Manager
Dallas, TX
After teaching high school life sciences for 11 years, Mary began working at the Perot Museum in order to directly impact fellow teachers through professional learning. Mary is a bona fide nerd, holding a B.S. in Biology with a focus in BioChemistry from Hardin-Simmons University. She loves to talk about cells, enzymes, and the bioethics research she conducted while at University of Cambridge. A life-long learner, Mary also loves chatting about edtech, inquiry, and organic integration of “STEAM” subjects. My current educational interests include inquiry learning, literacy in science using trade books, organic integration of "TEAM" into "S" (science), andragogy, and edutech. My non-educational interests include sewing, quilting, reading, English handbell ringing, and all things Walt Disney World.
