Join us and explore the science behind how glow sticks work and learn about 'glow in the dark' organisms and minerals in this hands-on session! You'll create glowing works of art that dazzle the eyes as we investigate chemiluminescence using a budget friendly, inquiry lab activity. We'll simplify the chemistry behind this phenomenon, compare types of luminescence, examine energy conversions, discuss how bioluminescence adaptations are important to living organisms, and model bioluminescence in fireflies. We'll combine chemistry, biology, geology, art, and literature in this illuminating session for all grade levels! REPEATED at Session 2
