Transforming Your Lab Activities with Argument-Driven Inquiry

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) is an innovative instructional model (based on how students learn) that has students participate in the practices of science as they learn to use core ideas and crosscutting concepts to explain natural phenomena in grades 3-16. Students also interact with their peers, critique ideas, and reflect on their mistakes. In addition to learning about all 8 stages of an ADI investigation, participants will collect data (ADI Stage 2) and construct a scientific argument (Stage 3) based on their data collection. Participants will also perform a peer-review of a student sample lab report (Stage 7) based on the ADI rubric.
